Rescheduling or Additional Service
Please notify the office ahead of your service day regarding rescheduling or additional service requests. We will make every effort to accommodate; however, our pool technician's schedules are often full, and we may be unable to accommodate special requests. We will also do our best to avoid extra charges for additional services unless you specifically request and/or need them.
Pool Access, Gates and Pets
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the pool and pool equipment on their scheduled service day. Please notify our office of any gate code changes, locked gates, pets that may prevent access, construction or other conditions that could restrict access to the pool. If our technician is unable to safely access the pool or equipment on the scheduled service day, the visit will be considered a completed service visit. Customers are also responsible for securing pets before our technician arrives. Florida Pool Wizards is not responsible for pets that escape or enter the pool area while access is being provided for service.
Leak Policy
If we notify you of a pool leak or significant water loss, your account will move to our standard service rate plus chemicals until the leak has been repaired due to increased chemical usage. You still receive the free baseline of chemicals each week. Any incremental fee is only for incremental chemicals due to the leak.
Water Level
We do not add water to customer pools. You are responsible for maintaining the proper water level in your swimming pool. For your pool tech to perform maintenance services effectively and for the pool equipment to operate properly, the water level must be at the middle of skimmer intake box or the middle of the tile line.
Salt Cell Systems
We have a recurring quarterly program to clean salt cells for a $30 charge. If you would like to opt-out of this quarterly service please notify the office. If you do opt-out please be sure to clean the cells every 3 months. When the cells get dirty the chlorination to the pools is degraded and can lead to bad pool chemistry and cloudy/green pools.
Equipment & Customer Responsibilities
Proper circulation and functioning equipment are essential to maintaining clean, healthy water. Equipment issues may impact water quality, chemical usage, and service effectiveness. Please keep pumps, filters, timers, automation systems, and salt systems in proper working order. If we identify equipment concerns, we'll notify you and provide recommendations.
Storms / Green Pools
Pools may turn green for reasons outside of our control, including storms, excessive debris, nonfunctioning or poorly maintained equipment, pool water loss, or extremely high chlorine demands due to usage or environment. We will always attempt to return your pool to normal operating condition during a single visit on your regularly scheduled service day. However, some situations may require additional chemicals and/or multiple visits. If multiple visits or significant additional treatment are required following adverse weather events, equipment problems, excessive debris, water loss, or other conditions outside of our regular weekly service, additional charges may apply.
Replacement Parts and Repairs
We may replace low-cost parts costing less than $50, such as O-rings, skimmer baskets, or gauges, and bill your account without obtaining prior authorization. This allows us to address minor issues promptly before an inexpensive part causes a larger equipment, circulation, or pool chemistry problem. Repairs will be emailed to you so that you can discuss your options with the repair technician, obtain estimates and then coordinate the repair. Repairs are never completed without your consent and dialogue with the repair technician.
Cancellation
Florida Pool Wizards does not require a long-term contract, and customers may cancel recurring pool service at any time by notifying our office. Any outstanding balance for services, chemicals, parts, or repairs provided through the cancellation date remains due.
