Pool Service in Citrus Park

Cumberland Manors sits two tenths of a mile from a route we already drive, and Eaglebrook, Carrillon Estates and Woodmont are all within about three quarters of a mile of the same run. We service the Citrus Park area, and for most of it we are already nearby.

Most homes here went up around 1991 — newer than Carrollwood or Lake Magdalene, older than the developments going up in Pasco. That middle age is the whole character of a pool in this town.

What weekly pool service in Citrus Park covers

You get a text before we arrive, the same technician on the same day each week, and an emailed report with chemical readings and photos after each visit.

What a middle-aged pool needs

It is neither a new pool nor a tired one, and that is an awkward age to guess at. The surface usually has years left in it. The equipment usually does not, or not much. A pool of this vintage rarely needs work on the shell and quite often needs someone paying attention to the pump — which is exactly the thing a weekly visit catches and an occasional one does not.

Hillsborough water is hard, noticeably harder than the Pasco supply a few miles north. On a thirty-year-old surface the calcium starts finding somewhere to sit, and the waterline tile is where it shows first. Keeping the balance right is slower and cheaper than removing it later.

The lakes here are small and there are four of them — Fairy, Armistead, Halfmoon and Hixon — with close to a square mile of cypress wetland scattered between. If you back onto any of it you get the needles, the waterfowl and the midges. If you do not, you get none of them, and a page that tells you otherwise is guessing.

If your pool is open to the sky, that is not a fault. Debris load is what decides the work, and a cage is only one of the two things that set it. An uncaged pool with little above it is one of the easier pools to keep right.

What that means for your pool

Equipment lasts longer when it is watched

A pump and heater that get checked every week last longer and cost less to run than ones only looked at when something fails. On pools this age the weekly check is most of the value, catching small corrections early instead of a replacement.

An awkward age to guess at

Usually there are years left in the surface and not much left in the equipment. Weekly attention catches a pump changing its habits; an occasional visit does not.

Four small lakes, and only if you are on one

Fairy, Armistead, Halfmoon and Hixon, with cypress between them. Needles, waterfowl and midges are real for homes on the water and simply not true for homes that are not.

The surface usually has years left. The equipment usually does not.

We check the equipment on every visit and put what we find in your report, with photos. Minor issues, a worn O-ring or a cracked skimmer basket, we fix on the spot rather than making a job of it. There is no call-out and no estimate to approve. Anything bigger, we coordinate with a licensed repair partner, and nothing is done without your say-so.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about pool service

What's included in weekly pool cleaning service?

Everything needed to keep the pool swim-ready, and you'll know it happened without having to check. Each visit covers skimming and netting, brushing the walls and tile, testing and balancing the water, emptying the baskets, and checking that the pump and equipment are running as they should. All chemicals are included. You get a text before we arrive, a text when the service is finished, and an emailed report with chemical readings and photos showing what we added and how your pool looked when we left. Vacuuming is included on our full service plan; on the chemical-and-clean plan it is done as needed rather than every week, and we'll tell you honestly which your pool needs.

How much does weekly pool service cost in the Tampa Bay area?

For a screened pool of typical size, roughly 10,000 to 13,000 gallons, $135 to $165 a month, and most are around $140. Where you fall in that range depends on the size of the pool and whether it needs a weekly vacuum. Unscreened pools generally cost a little more because open pools tend to be larger, take far more debris, and need weekly vacuuming, more time on site, and more chemicals to hold the same water quality. That price includes all chemicals and your monthly filter clean. We will give you a firm number for your pool before you commit to anything.

Do you require a contract?

No. Weekly pool service is recurring, but there is no long-term contract to sign. We want you to stay because the pool is being handled well, not because paperwork makes it hard to leave.

Do you provide all the chemicals, or are they charged separately?

Included. Chlorine, acid, stabilizer, salt, algaecide, and whatever the water needs that week are part of your monthly rate, with no separate chemical bill and no surprise line items. It is worth asking any company you are considering because chemicals billed separately can make a quote that first looked lower cost substantially more in summer.

Does the rate include filter cleanings?

Yes, about once a month as part of your regular service, at no extra cost. A dirty filter is one of the most common reasons a pool stops holding clear water, and one of the most commonly skipped jobs. Yours gets done on schedule and appears in your service report so you can see when it was last done.

How will we know when the pool tech has finished?

You will not have to wonder, and you do not need to be home. You get a text message when the service is complete, followed by an emailed report with chemical readings and photos, plus anything we added or adjusted and anything we spotted that needs attention. If something is starting to go wrong, it is in the report rather than saved up for a phone call.

Can we set up recurring credit card payments?

Yes. We invoice at the start of each month and charge the card on file, so there is nothing for you to remember and no chasing. The invoice comes by email each month, so you can always see what you are paying for.

How soon can new service start?

Usually within a week. Our route already runs within a couple of tenths of a mile of Cumberland Manors.

My pool has no screen enclosure. Is that a problem?

Not on its own. What matters is how much comes down over the water, and an open pool with little above it is one of the easier ones to keep right.

The pump is making a noise it did not used to. Is that urgent?

It is worth looking at rather than worth panicking about. Equipment of this age usually changes its sound well before it stops, which is the useful window.

Do I need to be home?

No, only the gate needs to be accessible. You get a text before we arrive and photos afterwards.

Will it be the same person each week?

Yes, barring holidays and illness. Many of our technicians have looked after the same pools for years.

What if my pool is green?

That is a recovery before weekly service starts. We quote it plainly and say how long it will take.

Do you do repairs?

Not the repair work itself. We check the equipment weekly and tell you what we find, with photos. Minor issues we fix on the spot rather than making a job of it, so a worn O-ring gets dealt with that day instead of becoming a failed pump. For anything larger we coordinate with a licensed repair partner, who talks you through the options and the cost, and no repair happens without your consent.
